House of the Rising Sun

I’ve been looking for the “House of the Rising Sun” after hearing the version recorded by The Animals. It’s another New Orleans legend of a house of ill repute where a gambler goes to seek depravity. The actual location has been attributed to several buildings, most of which have been lost to time. One of the possible locations is where the Willliams Research Center is today on Chartres Street in the French Quarter.
