What's GHOSTS OF NEW AMSTERDAM ABOUT?
In case you missed it, my new photography book, GHOSTS OF NEW AMSTERDAM, was released on October 2, 2017. I based the concept on the film Kairo, the Japanese ghost film known as Pulse in the United States. The film is a warning about the disconnection between people as a result of the pressures of success and technology. I wanted to create a book that worked as both a visual tour through the business district of New York City but also as a metaphor about the degradation of human relationships. It was five year long journey of weaving two themes together into one cohesive body of work but, man, it came out great. I'm really happy with the final result and I think you will be too.
